EmployABILITY Champion: Airbulk Welding Supply, LLC.

Airbulk Welding Supply, based in Maywood, provides industrial gas, including helium, propane, and carbon dioxide, to welders and other industrial workers. Owner Arnulfo Landeros Jr. met with us to celebrate his business's new status as an EmployABILITY Champion and learn what that means to him.

What does the future look like for your business?

We expect our business to keep growing. The new equipment and being able to hire someone to run that new equipment will really make a big difference for us. Those two things will let us do repairs in-house, which will save us money and let us take on more clients. It definitely sets us up for growth and success!

How do you plan to use EmployABILITY Business Grant funds to grow your business?

We’ll be hiring individuals with disabilities, buying equipment that will be accessible, and we’re updating the office space to make it ADA compliant, and having a disability inclusion consultant come in to help us make sure we’re doing all we can to support our new hires.

What does it mean to you to be a recipient of this grant, an EmployABILITY Champion?

I am so grateful for this grant! It will help us realize our dream of growing the business sooner than we thought possible. Now we have the means to hire new employees and get equipment that will really help us. I don’t have words to thank everyone for this opportunity!
